Find someone to play with, near you
Pick your sport, your level and when you're free. We show the players around you on a map, and you message them to fix a game.

How it works
- Choose your sport. Badminton, tennis, football, running and more.
- Say the level you want. Same as yours, or anyone.
- Pick when you're free. Today, tomorrow or the weekend, morning or evening, and how far you'll travel.
We look around you and show who plays nearby, on a map and in a list. Send them a message or an invite to play. If nobody fits yet, we email you when someone does.
Why we ask you to sign up first
Find Buddy only shows real players who chose to be found. Signing up adds you to that list, so the next person looking for a partner can find you too.
What other players see
- Your first name and last initial, sport, level, age (not your birth date) and when you usually play.
- Roughly how far away you are, like "about 3 km". The map shows an area about 1 km wide, never your exact spot.
- Never your phone number or email. Messages stay on PlayGloba until you choose to share more.
Common questions
Is Find Buddy free?
Yes. Finding players, messaging them and inviting them to play are free for players.
Do I have to share my location?
No. You can search from the area in your profile instead. If you do share it, we keep it rounded and only use it to work out distances.
Can I hide from other players?
Yes. Untick "Show my profile to other players" on your player profile and you drop out of Find Buddy and the players list straight away.
What if nobody near me plays my sport yet?
Turn on an alert from the results page. We email you when a new player who matches joins near you, at most once a day.
How do I stay safe meeting someone new?
Keep chats on PlayGloba, meet at a public venue and tell a friend where you're going. You can block anyone from the message thread.
