Sports buddy matcher
Find people near you to play with. Tell us your sport, level and when you play, and we'll show the players who fit you best, with the reasons.
How matching works
Meeting a new player safely
- Play somewhere public for the first few games, like a club or a busy court.
- Tell a friend where you're going and who you're meeting.
- Keep chats on PlayGloba until you know the person, and don't share money or personal details.
Questions people ask
How does the buddy matcher choose players?
It looks at players in your city who play your sport and have a public PlayGloba profile, and scores each one out of 100: how close their level is to yours, whether they play at the same times, whether they want the same thing (a regular partner, a team or casual games) and how recently they were active. The best matches come first, with the reasons.
Do I need an account?
You can see matches without one. To send an invite you need to log in, and to be found by others you need a player profile, which is free.
Are my answers saved?
No. What you choose in the matcher is only used to find matches and is not saved.
Is my phone number shown to other players?
No. Player pages don't show phone numbers or email addresses. You send an invite through PlayGloba and arrange the game from there.
Why don't I see any matches?
There may be few players for that sport in your city yet. Try a nearby city, choose fewer play times, or create your player profile so others can find you.
How do I stay safe meeting a new player?
Meet at a public venue, tell a friend where you're going, and keep chats on PlayGloba until you know the person. If anyone makes you uncomfortable, stop replying and contact PlayGloba support.
